Drake Embraces the Soccer Dad Life To Cheer on Son Adonis Amid Recent Controversies

Drake is taking a break from the drama (kind of …) and focusing on his 6-year-old son Adonis. The Canadian rapper just shared several photos of himself supporting his son, who he shares with ex Sophie Brussaux, and he’s in full soccer dad mode.

The “IDGAF” rapper wore a white t-shirt tucked into brown, wide-legged pants held up with a brown leather belt, and a preppy sweater tied around his neck. He also had on sunglasses as he stood outside on a sunny weekend day to cheer on his son. In one photo, you can see Adonis wearing a number “25” blue jersey as he runs down the field with his dad watching. Drake is one proud papi!

Despite his focus being on his kid, Drake didn’t completely leave his recent controversies behind. He captioned the post, “Goats don’t worry about one trick ponies.” This seemingly references his major beef with rapper Kendrick Lamar, which has resulted in many diss tracks between the two. (Entertainment Weekly has a full timeline of this duo’s recent feud HERE.)

Many people showed support for the “Push Ups” rapper in the comments section. Ice Spice wrote, “ate.” Sam Tompkins said, “soccer dad attire is brazy.”

Another person wrote, “The soccer papi fit is wild.” Someone else said, “Drake the type of rapper that hands out orange wedges at his son’s soccer game.” Ha! We can totally see it.

Last year, Drake shared that his son has multiple talents just like his famous dad. In a video on his Instagram story, Adonis holds up a picture he drew of his dad on stage with a note, “Dear Dad, I hope you have a great concert.” The then-5-year-old also sang part of Drake’s song “Rich Flex” with 21 Savage, singing, “21, can ya do somethin’ for me?” in the sweetest little voice.

He stands on the couch in another clip, with both hands held up like a microphone as he sings a Drake song. The “God’s Plan” rapper jokingly wrote in the caption, “Comes to one drake show …”

A couple months later, Adonis made his rap debut on the song “Daylight” from “For All the Dogs,”where he sings to the haters, “Don’t talk to my man like that,” per American Songwriter. He also appeared in the “8AM in Charlotte” music video, where he talked about a goat “running away from the other monsters” in a photo, later calling it “Daddy Goat.”

This little boy can do anything with his dad cheering him on!
