Car crashes into Bristol bank causing ‘extensive damage’ to vehicle

Police said no injuries were reported after a car crashed into a bank in Bristol on Monday.

Police received reports of the crash at 9 a.m. at the Thomaston Savings Bank at 120 Farmington Ave., where someone in a Mercedes sedan struck the building, according to Geoffrey Lund of the Bristol Police Department.

No injuries were reported.

Lund said the crash caused “extensive damage” to the vehicle.

The bank was able to stay open after members of the Bristol Building Department evaluated the structure for damage.
