PARASTATALS MONITORING OFFICE TRAINS OFFICERS ON GLOBALIZATION, EMERGING WORKPLACE TRENDS  

The Lagos State Parastatals Monitoring (PMO) Office has organized a two-day in-house training programme for middle and management-level officers, themed “Globalization and Emerging Trends in the Workplace”. The training aims to equip officers with the skills and knowledge necessary to navigate the rapidly changing global landscape.
 
The Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Adetutu Ososanya (FCA), while declaring the workshop open, emphasised the importance of adapting to change in today’s dynamic environment, noting that the only thing that is constant in life is change.

“Today, we are witnessing an era of unprecedented change, driven by the forces of globalization and the emergence of new trends in the workplace”, she said.
 
Mrs. Ososanya highlighted the dual challenges of globalization and technological advancement, emphasising their impact on business operations and the nature of work. 

In her words, “Globalization has reshaped the way we do business, breaking down barriers and opening up new opportunities on a scale never before imagined. We must also contend with the rapid pace of technological advancement, shifting demographics, and evolving consumer preferences”.
 
She averred that the training programme, attended by officers from Grade Levels 8 to 13, is designed to foster innovation and leadership, saying “As middle and management level officers, each of you plays a crucial role in driving our organization forward in this dynamic environment. Your role, vision, and dedication will be instrumental in charting our course through these uncertain waters”.
 
The Permanent Secretary, therefore, encouraged active participation, emphasising the importance of an open mind and a sense of purpose. “Let us seize this opportunity to grow, to innovate, and to emerge as the future leaders that our organization needs us to be”, she urged.
 
She concluded by thanking the facilitators and officers for their commitment to excellence and dedication to the mission of the Parastatals Monitoring Office. “Together, I am confident that we can rise to the challenges of globalization and emerge stronger, more resilient, and more united than ever before”, she affirmed.
