IF you’re looking to get yourself a new patio in time for the summer, then you’ll likely know it’ll cost you a small fortune.

And perhaps the best part of all? It took just 24 hours…

Taking to Facebook group Gardening On A Budget Official, Lindsey Sugars posted a photo showing an old, tired-looking white shed base on her lawn.

Transforming it from an eyesore into the focal point of her outdoor haven, she then explained exactly how she achieved the finished results – and it’s little wonder social media users are all so impressed with her stunning new patio.

Alongside the post, Lindsey penned: “All done in a day!

“IKEA decking tiles on sale, furniture and old shed base I already had, just picked up some plants today.”

Speaking to Fabulous, the savvy homeowner explained: “I paid £271 for the decking after the family membership discount.

“The plants and pots and lights were £120 but I’ve still got some more lights to come as they didn’t have enough stock in store.

“The shed base was already there and the furniture I already had from previous years.”

And for anyone eager to follow in Lindsey’s footsteps, then you’re in luck…because she revealed the exact tiles she used were the ‘RUNNEN’ floor decking in dark grey, which cost £22/0.81 m².

The online product description reads: “You can upgrade your balcony or terrace in an instant and also section off an area for lounging and for dining.

“It’s easy to install and clicks together. Choose one colour or mix and match.”

And many satisfied customers left five-star reviews to back up the claims, with one writing: “Good quality product, lasts for years.

“I bought extra to extend my patio. Highly recommended.”

A second happy Ikea shopper told how they bought the tiles to cover some “awful patio tiles” that were put down before they moved in.

“They really have made such a difference,” they praised.

Freaking PERFECT!! Save me a seat (I’ll bring wine!)

Impressed social media user

Another said the decking tiles are “brilliant” for revamping the patio.

“I just laid them on top of existing pavers which were slightly uneven but with a little bit of adjustment to the levels they went down ok and now looks like a brand new patio,” they continued.

“A great price too!”

And one more chimed in: “So easy to install and looks amazing!”

Eager to know more, several people asked Lindsey exactly how she applied the tiles, with one questioning: “These look amazing. Do you put them over the top of the slabs already there?”

In response, Lindsey helpfully replied: “They are on top of an old shed base.

“They don’t move once down but they do need a flat surface or they won’t stay clicked together.”
