Coronation Street fans spot bizarre detail about the rain in Weatherfield as Paul Foreman makes emotional confession
CORONATION Street fans have noticed a bizarre detail about the rain in Weatherfield as Paul Foreman made an emotional confession.
The Manchester set soap is no stranger to rain but in last night’s episode it had a particular strange kind of rain.
Terminally-ill Paul – who is played by actor Peter Ash in the ITV soap – was caught in the heavy downfall with husband Billy Mayhew.
Soaked to the skin, Billy tried to rush Paul inside but instead Paul made an emotional confession and asked to stay outside.
“I don’t want to go inside just yet,” he said.
“What’s the rain going to do, kill me? I’m starting to think it’s only a matter of time before I won’t be able to leave the flat at all.
“To go outside and look at the trees and the sky, or any of that stuff. I just want to make the most of it while I still can.”
Paul’s emotional confession left Billy stunned and the couple stood outside taking in the rain.
But while the rain soaked Paul and Billy through, it didn’t seem to have the same effect on the other residents.
Across at the Rovers, Mary Taylor, Debbie Webster and Ronnie all entered the pub at the same time – completely dry.
The incredibly heavy rain hadn’t touched them at all leaving fans very confused.
One wrote: “It’s peeing down with rain but customers going to pub are completely dry #Corrie”
A second said: “The back of Kevin’s house is very dry for the rain that’s falling #Corrie.”
Another added: “Come on @itvcorrie continuity , Paul comes home from the docs to rain storm. 3 people walk into the Rovers at the same time with not a spot of water on them. Is it just me…. #Corrie”
