Bastillada Blasts Lindog in Toledo

TOLEDO CITY, CEBU, PHILIPPINES - Police officer Jusue “Pistolero” Bastillada  ( 8-1,5 KO's) got his eighth win as a pro when he stopped Kim Lindog (8-18-1, 5 KO’s) in the main event of a six bout card Monday at the Barba Sports Complex in Toledo City, Cebu.

Bastillada used a hail of body shots to drop Lindog thrice in the second prompting referee Melchor Arong to call a halt to the bout.

Bastillada is also full-time cop - a staff sergeant in the Philippine National Police in Toledo City. Lindog drops to his fifth straight loss.

In the supporting main event, Rhonvex Capuloy (11-2-3, 8KO’s) vs Ivor Lastrilla (13-14-2,7KO’s) ended in a technical draw in the second round. Accidental head clashes inflicted cuts over Capuloy’s right and left eyes.

In his previous bout, Capuloy also had a technical draw in South Korea against Chinese boxer ZhiGang Zhang.

For the other matches - Mark Anthony Sarino lost to John Rey Labajo by TKO in the fifth. Sarino was more exhausted than hurt and faded in the endgame.

In a battle of Anthonys - Anthony Gilbuela beat Anthony Galigao by unanimous verdict. Emje Felicilda had a successful pro debut by winning a unanimous decision over Apolinario Cano and Allan Villanueva decked Marjon Piencenaves in two rounds. Piencenaves was dropped thrice in the first and once in the second.

This fight card was presented by Big Yellow Promotions and the Toledo City local government.
