From the 2024 Serialization of Steven Jonas' book, "The 15% Solution:" Chapter 11: The Proclamation of Right

This column presents Section 2, Chapter 11, of the 2024 serialization of Steven Jonas' book: "The 15% Solution: How the Republican Religious Right Took Control of the U.S., 1981-2022" (from the second edition, 2013). The book was first published in 1996. This Section is entitled "The History," and this Chapter, 11, is entitled "The Proclamation of Right." Its principal function was to outlaw homosexuality.
