SHEIN, DHL and Legacie honoured at national Employer’s Excellence Awards
Global business leaders including SHEIN, DHL and Quooker were honoured at the inaugural Metro Employer’s Excellence Awards gala hosted by Vernon Kay in Liverpool tonight.
The glittering event also shined a spotlight on Britain’s trailblazing business personalities and organisations, with leading construction and development company Legacie, green energy business Next Energy, beauty industry leader Tatti Lashes and health and beauty store Superdrug all picking up major accolades.
The Employer’s Excellence Awards, in partnership with Metro, celebrates best practice in the workplace as well as senior corporate leaders with track records of business success.
With TV legend Kay leading award-giving duties, Superdrug were named as Large Employer of the Year, while Quooker were recognised as Outstanding Employer.
Cui He, Director of Europe for SHEIN, lifted the coveted Inspirational Role Model Award, while DHL was named Best Employee Support Networks for their RainbowNet initiative.
MSB Solicitors were recognised for their commitment to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace, while Cathryn Wright, managing director of national financial service firm Sedulo, was named Workplace Hero of the Year.
There were huge celebrations as Legacie, the Liverpool developer transforming the skyline of the city centre, picked up a double award for the Best Training and Employee Development Programme, before John Morley was named CEO of the Year to rapturous applause.
Helen Salt of Curtis was awarded HR Leader of the Year as the Best Practice Award went to Brantones.
A host of up-and-coming businesses were recognised at the event, with DT Hughes Group winning Best Family Business.
Panini, meanwhile, won Most Inclusive Employer, while Huyton Asphalt were crowned Innovation Employer of the Year for their nationwide work on roads across the country.
Metro Employer’s Excellence Awards host Vernon Kay said:
