Love La-Roche Posay Invisible Fluid? I’ve found a £14 dupe that’s currently on sale for £9

YOU’VE heard it before, and I’ll repeat it again – you should be wearing SPF every day to protect your skin from harmful UV rays.

Leading to wrinkles, sagging skin and even skin cancer, there is (almost) no end to the dangers of the sun.

This budget sunscreen is lightweight and non-greasy

Garnier Ambre Solaire Super UV Vitamin C Facial Fluid SPF50, £14 £9.38

Whether you’re stretched out on a beach lounger, or staying indoors to dodge wind and rain, wearing an SPF is the best way to protect your skin.

If you’re still not convinced, I get it – so many sunscreens can feel heavy and greasy, leaving your complexion looking shiny or leading to breakouts – but SPF is important.

25% of us worry that wearing an SPF will cause breakouts, meaning only a third of us actually wear an SPF daily, according to One Poll and 47 Skin.

So, what’s the solution? While heavy, greasy formulas are one culprit, so are expensive, complex formulas – which leaves us with very few options.

Enter Garnier Ambre Solaire Super UV Vitamin C Facial Fluid, a lightweight, non-greasy SPF50, that’s cheap as chips.

As a budget alternative to cult-buy La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF fluid (£20), this dupe feels so lightweight on the skin, that you’ll forget it’s there.

SPF fluids such as La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF fluid are loved by beauty fans for their liquid texture, which sinks into the skin with easily and quickly, thanks to their lightweight composition.

Garnier Ambre Solaire Super UV Vitamin C Facial Fluid is no exception and absorbs into your skin in moments without leaving a white cast.

Now, I’ll be honest, I’ve previously avoided SPF fluids, as I find many formulas too messy.

Some fluid formulas drip down your face or leak from the bottle.

However, Garnier’s Ambre Solaire Super UV Vitamin C Facial Fluid has a slightly denser texture, meaning it’s clean, quick, and easy to use, and still absorbs like a dream.

I’ve found a £9 La Roche Posay dupe
Garnier / La Roche Posay

The greatest difference between this Garnier SPF and La Roche Posay is the added addition of vitamin C.

La Roche Posay recommends applying a separate vitamin C serum before applying their SPF fluid, but Garnier rolls these steps into one with Garnier Ambre Solaire Super UV Vitamin C Facial Fluid.

As a natural antioxidant, vitamin C helps promote brighter, glowing skin but also has several benefits when used alongside your sunscreen.

Free radicals from the sun can cause oxidative stress, leading to wrinkles, fine lines and dehydration, but vitamin C can help neutralise them.

Additionally, vitamin C can help tackle dark spots, which are typically caused by sun damage.

In fact, after three months of continued use, Garnier testers found that their visibility of dark spots reduced by 53%, on average.

Whilst it’s got a subtle, citrus scent (often the case with vitamin C products), the formula doesn’t irritate my sensitive eyes and actually feels very calming on the skin.

For just over £9, this hydrating, lightweight SPF50 is brilliant value for money, and perfect for most skin types.

If you’re looking to save money on the much-loved La Roche Posay this summer I don’t think you can go wrong with Garnier’s Ambre Solaire Super UV Vitamin C Facial Fluid SPF50.

It’s currently down to £9.38 from £14 so make sure you get it while it’s still on offer.
