Commissioner Cook talks energy vote, Family Park and Dump Day

TOPEKA (KSNT) - Shawnee County Commissioner Chair Kevin Cook joined the 27 News Morning crew to talk about the latest updates coming to Shawnee County.

On Thursday, June 13 commissioners voted on a solar moratorium and wind ban, with Commissioner Cook being the sole nay vote on the wind prospect.

With the official start of summer around the corner, the grand opening of Family Park is sure to follow. Cook shared the latest details on the pickleball and children's playground, and previews the upcoming Dump Day.
