Kim Kardashian Woke up to the Sweetest View & It Proves Moms Don’t Always Need Space
Mornings as a mom of three are a blur of helping kids brush their teeth, finding missing shoes, pulling shorts out of the dryer, brewing coffee, buckling kids in their car seats, running back inside three times for things we forgot, and rushing out the door. It’s definitely stressful! But sometimes, something will happen that catches you off guard and reminds you to enjoy every moment (even the chaotic ones). Like when my toddler picked a flower for me on the way to the car or when my 6-year-old gave me a huge hug at drop-off. It makes everything else worth it. Kim Kardashian had one of those moments of sweetness early this morning that’ll melt your heart!
The SKIMS founder shared a photo on Instagram revealing the precious view she had this morning. “no better way to wake up,” she captioned the black-and-white picture. In it, three of her four kids, who she shares with ex Kanye West, are snuggled up in bed with her, sleeping peacefully.
Chicago, 6, is lying on her side with her head sweetly resting on her hand. Saint, 8, is on the other side of the bed, sleeping on his stomach. And Psalm, 5, is stretched out horizontally between his two siblings, with his legs draped over Saint. (The only one missing was 10-year-old North!) It’s unclear if she planned to co-sleep with her kids or if they just crawled in her bed in the middle of the night, but either way, its such a sweet sight.
“It’s the small things in life that counts ❤️,” one person wrote. Another said, “Yesss I miss those days ???????? enjoy ???? they grow so fast!”
Those unexpectedly perfect moments with your kids are amazing. But that doesn’t mean that moms never need space. On this week’s episode of The Kardashians, she shared that her recent birthday was not quite what she was expecting. “I thought my birthday, I’d have a day to myself,” she told her mom Kris Jenner, per PEOPLE. “I was stuck doing everything that everyone else wanted to do. I was stuck watching YouTube unboxing videos on my birthday. I had a FIFA tournament. Color Me Mine — you should see the ugly thing I made. This is not what I wanted to be doing on my birthday.”
Kardashian continues to complain about her birthday, adding, “I know I was tortured. Just make me breakfast. That’s a great birthday.” Later, the producers asked her what her ideal birthday would have been, and moms can so relate.
“To lock my door,” the American Horror Story: Delicate star said. “Not get out of my bed and eat cookies and cream ice cream all day long. That’s what would have been my dream and no one cares about my dreams, not my four kids at least.”
