Scissortail preps for free concerts with local favorites

Scissortail Park guests and participants are getting things in order as Scissortail Park Concerts series in 2024 kicks off!

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - Scissortail Park officials are getting things in order as Scissortail Park Concerts series in 2024 kicks off!

The free concerts are scheduled from June through October. Guests are invited to bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy free performances from local, regional, and national acts encompassing everything from reggae, soul, pop, rock, classical, and folk music.

According to Scissortail Park, here is your 2024 artist list!

The Wailers

GRAMMY nominated reggae pioneers celebrate the 40th anniversary of Bob Marley and the Wailers’ album, LEGEND, live on our stage!

Summer of Soul Night

Featuring a collection of regional soul artists coming together on Scissortail Park’s main stage!

A Night of OKC VOICES
Friday, August 9 | 8pm

Starring Oklahoma contestants from NBC’s The Voice including AJ Harvey, OK3, Tanner Massey, and Taylor Deneen!

OKC Philharmonic

⭐WHAT TO BRING
Bring your chairs and blankets for an evening of live music under the stars. Free and open to the public. Family and pet friendly. (No glass bottles, no glass containers, pets on a leash only, coolers and food are allowed)

????PREVENT HEAT STRESS
Stay hydrated. Drink more water than usual and don't wait until you're thirsty to drink. If possible, avoid alcohol, caffeine and sugary drinks to prevent dehydration.

Parking is available around the perimeter of the Park including accessible spots.
Plan by visiting embarkok.com/parking to view nearby lots and garages.

????STREETCAR
The OKC Streetcar is a great way to park in Downtown, Bricktown, Automobile Alley or Midtown and ride over to Scissortail Park. The Park stop is located at the corner of Oklahoma City Boulevard and South Robinson Avenue. Visit embarkok.com/streetcar for a map and routes. The OKC Streetcar will run until 2am on Friday.

An accessible seating area for the concert will be available on the west side of the stage.
