NEWS10 celebrates Nexstar's Founder's Day of Caring

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- NEWS10 ABC is part of the largest television company in the United States, Nexstar Media Group, which is celebrating its 28th anniversary this year. To celebrate, we are observing Nexstar's Founder's Day of Caring.

Founder's Day celebrates the creation of Nexstar by Founder, Chairman, and CEO Perry Sook in June of 1996. Every year during the third week of June, employees in each of Nexstar's 117 television markets work with nonprofit organizations in their local communities. Keeping with this tradition, NEWS10 helped out several groups around the Capital Region.

Our volunteers used their green thumbs at Schenectady's Central Park rose gardens, tended to the stables at Equine Advocates in Valatie, and lent a hand to the Northeastern Association for the Blind at Albany.
