Saratoga man arrested on felony drug sale charges

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Saratoga Springs Police Department announced the arrest of Makuan Jackson, of Saratoga. Jackson reportedly had an active warrant after failing to appear in court to answer for a previous felony criminal mischief charge.

Officers located Jackson on Lincoln Avenue on June 13 and took him into custody without incident. During his arrest, Jackson was allegedly found to be in possession of 16 individually wrapped bags of cocaine. He now faces the following charges:

• Third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance - intent to sell
• Third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance - possession of a half ounce or more of a narcotic drug

Jackson was arraigned at the Saratoga Springs City Court and remanded to the custody of the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office. He is scheduled to return to court on June 18.
