Cardiac patients thank doctors who helped save their lives
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Many doctors save lives, and a few local doctors got a close-up look at how their work impacts their patients. St. Peter's Hospital hosted a Heart Recovery reunion on Friday.
A few cardiac patients met with some of the nurses, doctors and other medical professionals who helped save their lives. It gave patients a chance to share their stories of resilience and say thank you to all those who helped them during a time of need.
"I really appreciate the opportunity to express my appreciation and my admiration for everyone here who helped me get through a very difficult situation," cardiac patient Laird Scranton said.
The doctors and nurses also shared some of the training they go through in order to best care for their patients.
