George Santos melts down over flight fiasco: 'This what a $1200 airfare ticket gets you?'

George Santos might have expected champagne service on his New York City-bound flight. But apparently he feels he's being handled more like stowed baggage during his recent layover somewhere in Virginia.

And he's dying for a piece of fruit given the unsavory munchie options.

"After 13 years flying with @Delta I’m beyond disappointed of the mishandling of logistics I’m facing today," he wrote in a post on X, formerly Twitter. "I boarded a twice delayed flight out of Dallas to NYC today at 1pm CT and I’m still sitting in a remote airport in Virginia with 0 infrastructure and capability of handling this mess…

He suggested that the entire return back to the Big Apple led to nonstop headaches of delay and layovers "due to a weather delay."

And rather than be wined and dined for all the trouble, Santos blamed Delta for unimaginative snack options.

"This is the kind of garbage I’d expect from low cost carriers, not a premium airline," he wrote. "The only thing they saw fit to feed us was dominos pizza and industrialized sodium packed snacks…Not a fruit in sight not a healthy option even presented.

"Like is this what a $1200 airfare ticket gets you? This went from a simple weather diversion to a logistical fault on the airline with the expired crew, plain and simple."

The fabulist New York pol who became a civilian after being banished from the House of Representatives in an overwhelming vote with more than 300 members voting to give him the boot — remains under federal indictment for “a fraudulent scheme to steal the personal identity and financial information of contributors to his campaign."

He launched a short-lived comeback to run again for Congress but was unable to raise funds and bowed out.

Santos is charged with stealing people’s identities and making charges on his own donor funds. And they were top-shelf goods and services like dropping $6,000 at Ferragamo, and withdrawing $800 in cash at a casino where he said he enjoyed chancing at roulette, according to The New York Times.

He also allegedly paid off his rent and bought pieces from French fashion house Hermès and maintained regular cosmetic “Botox” treatments.

While he was apparently stuck in Virginia and hoping to make his final return to New York, Santos decided to square off with critics of his tweet.

"If you’re not finding a way to blame Joe for this, are you even trying," @NickellMac wrote.

The "Joe" implies Santos picking on President Joe Biden for the air mess.

Santos wrote back: "It’s not joes or Pete’s fault… it’s Delta’s," referring to Biden's Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg.

"You should be placed on the do not fly list," reads @justsomenerd718 post.

Santos swiped back: "Well it would be me and your dad… tell him I say hi. [blow kiss emoji]"
