All 18 ‘Baby Reindeer’ Emmy submissions: Richard Gadd, Jessica Gunning, Nava Mau …

“Baby Reindeer” has finalized its plans for the 2024 Emmys, and no, they were not sent from an iPhone. (See the complete list of Emmy submissions below.) Netflix’s breakout limited series tells the semi-autographical tale of a British stand-up comedian named Donny Dunn (writer/producer/actor Richard Gadd), who is harassed by a stalker (Jessica Gunning) over several years. In total, the program is vying for 18 Emmy Awards on the 2024 ballot.

“Baby Reindeer” streamed all seven episodes on April 11. It begins with Donny working as a bartender at a London pub when a new customer comes in and changes his life forever. Martha takes his kindness and flirtation the wrong way and, assuming they are now dating, begins sending him countless emails and showing up at his stand-up shows. As her infatuation grows, we learn more about Donny including how he’s dating a trans woman (Nava Mau) and that he was sexually assaulted by a male television writer (Tom Goodman-Hill).

Netflix has submitted one director, Weronika Tofilska, for her work on the fourth episode that focuses on Donny’s backstory with the abusive TV scribe. And Gadd, being the sole writer on “Baby Reindeer,” is on the ballot for writing the entire season.
