London: Over 700 attend Indian High Commission's Yoga event in Trafalgar Square

The High Commission of India in the United Kingdom organized a yoga event at Trafalgar Square ahead of International Yoga Day, drawing over 700 participants. The event, held annually on June 21 since its UN adoption in 2014, aimed to unite diverse communities through yoga. Indian High Commissioner Vikram Doraiswami highlighted increased participation, more yoga schools involved, and a focus on yoga's healing and growth aspects. Participants emphasized yoga's significance in Indian and Asian heritage, with this year's theme being women's empowerment. The event also saw the participation of the Indian Cricket Deaf Team.
