'Aced it!' Trump mocked as he forgets name of doctor who gave him dementia test

Donald Trump bragged again about how he “aced” a cognitive test designed to test for dementia — and then he got the name of the White House doctor who gave him it wrong.

Dr. Ronny Jackson was not only Trump’s doctor while president, he’s also a Texas Republican congressman and a staunch ally of the former president who even attended his New York criminal trial.

The flub came as Trump was criticizing President Joe Biden’s mental capacity.

“I think he should take a cognitive test like I did,” the former president said while speaking to a convention of the right-wing group Talking Point Action in Detroit Saturday.

“I took a cognitive test and I aced it. Doctor Ronny. Doctor Ronny Johnson, does everyone know Ronny Johnson? Congressman from Texas? He was the White House doctor, and he said I was the healthiest president, he feels, in history. So I liked him very much. He said if I didn't eat junk food, I would live to 200. That's what he said.”

Trump went on to describe the Montreal Cognitive Assessment test he took in 2018.

The 10-minute test Jackson performed on Trump is a simple mental assessment that “looks for signs of mild cognitive impairment and/or Alzheimer’s disease,” Reuters reported at the time.

“I said, Ronny should I take a test?” Trump said on Saturday. “He said, well, you know, it's Walter Reed. It's sort of a public hospital. If you don't do well, they're going to find out about it. I said, well, you know, like I'm a smart person and, how tough is it? He said, it gets very tough as you get to the middle of it.

“And i did something that he's never seen done. I aced it. I got every question right.”

The name mixup was immediately ridiculed online.

“The starchy irony of schlump forgetting the name of the Doc who pronounced him in perfect health is waay too rich!” wrote X user Phoenixwmn.

Jessica Anderson, a Democratic Party candidate for Congress in Virginia, wrote, “So since he can’t even remember the man who gave him his “dementia test” that he passed “with flying colors” doesn’t that mean he actually failed?”

“Reminder,” wrote former MSNBC host Keith Olbermann. “Trump is losing his mind.”
