It was previously announced how Tipping Point and The Chase have been axed this Tuesday afternoon.

And now ITV have also dropped their soap offerings on Monday evening.

Emmerdale and Coronation Street have been ousted from their usual slots for the football championship.

Fans will get their next fix from the Yorkshire Dales on Tuesday at 7pm with two episodes back-to-back.

Coronation Street fans will get the latest from the Weatherfield cobbles directly afterwards at 8pm.

The schedule shake-up comes after Corrie was taken off air for the football on Friday.

It left soap fans furious as they called on ITV bosses to upload the episode to ITVX or show it on another channel.

Raging on social media, one said: “Put Corrie and Emmerdale on ITV2 then,no biggie is it?”

A second wrote: “It’s about time this nonsense stopped, there is no need to cancel Corrie for football, there are enough channels for both.”

“Why don’t you put the episodes on @ITVX early,” questioned a third fan.

While a fourth commented: “Why doesn’t football have its own dedicated channel.”
