Redditor May181804 revealed the beauty tip in a viral post.

She explained that she figured out how to give her lashes oomph with a pop of color.

“I coat my lashes in blue mascara, and then I put black mascara over it, but only on the bottom half of the lash,” she said.

“The blue makes my eyes pop, but it’s very subtle.”

The trick has gotten a lot of attention and netted her plenty of admiration.

“I get a TON of compliments on my eyes now, yet people can’t put their finger on what I’ve done to invigorate my otherwise dull brown eyes,” she said.

Others shared beauty tips and tricks that they swear by too.

One commenter explained that although shaving their face may be “controversial,” they enjoyed it for a smoother makeup application.

“This makes foundation and powder look smoother. All that fuzz really picks up makeup,” they said.

Many felt that when it comes to makeup, having a light hand is always better.

“Less is more,” said one commenter.

“Don’t bother with the YouTube makeup routine,” agreed another.

“If your skin looks alright, tiny dabs of concealer are better than a full face of coverage and new texture you didn’t need.

“A primer with a finish you like and some waterproof cream makeup is totally fine, and you can cut out a lot of products and steps and get a better real-life result.”

“Figure out how YOU want to look, not what steps you think need to happen and what products you need,” they added.

One viewer explained that the environment in which you apply your makeup matters big time.

“Doing your makeup in natural daylight is the best tip I could ever give anyone,” they said.

“If you do your makeup in good lighting, you’ll quickly figure out less is more and what your face really looks good with rather than how you think it should look.”

“I totally second this. My desk is right in front of my window, and I did it there the other day… wow, it looked really good,” said another.

“Yessss! I didn’t say it was easy, lol. Especially in winter (darkness in the morning and afternoon again), it’s just a hit-and-miss,” said a third.
