Sainsbury’s-owned retailer Argos has toys on sale for as low as £1.40 and a variety of options are included in the price cut, sparking excitement among shoppers.

For motor-loving kids, a slick looking radio-controlled BMW is up for £3.60, brought way down from the usual £12.

Young musicians can snap up a kit including a guitar, plastic microphone and paper music sheet for £6 – a half-price steal.

Another deal for Disney-obsessed little ones includes a doll of Isabela from the movie Encanto for £7, down from £14.

The sale was posted to hotukdeals.com and received excited responses from grateful buyers.

One user commented: “Amazing prices thank you.”

Another said: “Ordered a couple of the remote controlled cars at £3.60 each.”

It’s also attracted attention on Facebook.

Page PlayPennies posted: “Up to 1/2 price or better Toy Sale just started at Argos!”

Thrifty shoppers were swift to comment, tagging their friends to ensure everyone gets in on the bargains.

Keeping an eye out for toy sales is worthwhile – huge deals occasionally hit the market.

Home Bargains this month had a Buzz Lightyear figure on the shelves for just £2.99 – a massive drop in price from the usual £16.99.

But that example did demonstrate buyers need to be prompt to snap up sales, with the toy quickly selling out online.

Meanwhile, Asda in April slashed prices for toys bringing many prices to just £2 or less.

One mum was over the moon, taking to Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargans UK to share her delight.

She wrote: “The highest price item was the Barbie watch at £4.00, everything else was pretty much £2 or under.

“There were still lots left at Havant including larger Minecraft, Sonic, Marvel and Nights at Freddie stuff.”
