‘In what world is that pink?’ trolls brutally slate a wedding guest’s gown that’s the same colour ‘brides wear’

THERE are a few unwritten rules when it comes to a wedding – and one of them is not wearing white unless you’re the bride.

However, one woman has now sparked fury after people insisted her ”pink” gown is the same colour ”brides wear”.

The wedding guest, only known as Kate, was brutally slammed on TikTok after sharing the two dresses options she was considering wearing that weekend.

Although the second outfit – a gorgeous evening-style frock with a white bow detailing on the back – was ”beautiful”, it was the first option that caused a major stir.

Posing in the light champagne maxi gown, Kate (@worm5063) said: ”I’m going to a wedding on Saturday and I was going to wear this dress.

”But I just wanted to check that no one would this that this is too close to white,” said Kate, adding she wanted to ”avoid” wearing green, which was the pick for the bridesmaids.

The jaw-dropping gown, which also featured flower detailing and a bow on the back, was ”very clearly pink” in her eyes.

”But because of the material, I’m kind of concerned that people are going to be like ‘That’s not okay to wear to a wedding’,” she shared her concerns in the video.

In what world is that pink?

In the comments, the young wedding guest also explained she ”didn’t want to bother the bride” with approving the gown, as this was ”a few days before” the ceremony.

”I need some opinions pleaseeee. Would anyone have a problem if someone wore this dress to their wedding?” Kate asked fellow social media users.

However, despite looking like a princess, not everyone thought the ”pink” outfit was fit for nuptials.

”Being honest – that dress looks beige/cream, not pink to me,” wrote one person who advised Kate to find another option.

”Wouldn’t risk it, it’s a colour I’ve seen brides wear.”

Someone else was totally baffled, wondering: ”In what world is that pink?”

Another agreed, adding: ”Its not pink my love its gold/cream.

”And some brides wear that colour. Even if this bride doesn’t I wouldn’t wear gold isch color to a western wedding.”

”I would personally wear the black,” a fourth advised.

Sophie Creed, bridal designer and founder of bridal brand e&w Couture shared the most popular wedding dress designs for this year.

Sustainable Chic

Bridal fashion in 2024 is embracing a powerful shift towards sustainability, with brides looking closely at what fabrics are being used to make the dresses.

Many brides are also looking to wear a second-hand dress or a vintage number.

The bohemian aesthetic is effortless and laid-back elegance – ideal for relaxed weddings. Whether in a garden, on a beach, or under the stars, the boho trend is also great for nature-inspired weddings.

Couples opting for outdoor venues, and bohemian-inspired dresses with flowing silhouettes, floral lace, and whimsical details with blend in with the natural setting. It’s about bringing the romance of the outdoors into the wedding wardrobe.

Bohemian-inspired dresses often feature vintage-inspired lace, flowing sleeves, and ethereal details that stand the test of time.

Satin Elegance

Satin wedding dresses are capturing the hearts of brides who appreciate the marriage of modern simplicity and classic luxury.

This trend suits weddings that prioritize an elegant, refined aesthetic, making it an ideal choice for formal celebrations, chic city weddings, or any event where the bride envisions herself in a gown that exudes sophistication and grace.

Bold Romance

Oversized and bold modern showcase a shift in bridal fashion.

This trend is for the bride who dares to be different, breaking away from tradition and embracing a vibrant, contemporary aesthetic on the most important day of her life.

But whilst there were a few of those who thought that number one was ”fine”, Kate later revealed she had found a brand new alternative.

Instead of going for the black or the light champagne one, the style lover attended the wedding looking gorgeous in a nude figure-hugging maxi dress that she’d bought from PrettyLittleThing.
