EastEnders fans work out bombshell twist for 40th anniversary – and it’s all about Keanu’s murder

SLEUTHING EastEnders viewers think they’ve cracked a major twist ahead of the show’s 40th anniversary – and it’s all to do with Keanu Taylor’s murder.

Keanu – played by Danny Walters – exited the BBC soap for good in dramatic fashion last Christmas.

A group of Walford women known as The Six have been covering up the truth[/caption]

The mechanic, who had appeared on and off since 2017, was murdered by Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), who was protecting her best friend Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean.

These tense scenes came as Keanu learned Sharon’s son Albie wasn’t his as previously believed.

In the build-up to Christmas, the show had teased a dramatic death – and although the circumstances were slightly subverted – fans were shocked when Keanu ended up as the victim.

As well as Linda and Sharon, fellow Walford women Stacey Slater, Kathy Beale, Suki Panesar and Denise Fox, collectively known as The Six, helped cover up what had happened.

Almost six months have passed since Keanu’s death and some secrets are yet to be revealed to the Square.

As part of their cover-up, The Six have already framed rapist Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) for Keanu’s murder.

Writing online, viewers are predicting that further dramatic scenes could see The Six’s downfall.

One speculated that one of The Six will face repercussions at some point – and that this may impact the cast member’s role in the soap.

They wrote: “I think Linda being chosen to be the killer is very significant. I suspect Kellie Bright has expressed an interest in leaving the show in the near future and making her the killer means this is a very long drawn out exit storyline for her.

“Eventually we’ll see Linda confess as the only way to absolve her guilt but she’ll keep her friends’ names out of it to save their skin.

“They could even tie it into her alcoholism, maybe she’s told one more drink could kill her, then the only way to properly get sober is by going to prison

“They could even put a positive spin on her exit, finally coming clean and doing the right thing, freeing herself from the burden of her guilt and ensuring she lives to see her kids grow up by removing the temptation to drink herself to death.

“It would certainly redeem her character who has been tarnished by this storyline.”

A fellow viewer disagreed, arguing: “I agree that one of the six is going to leave but I don’t think it will be Linda.

“My theory is that there will be a trial not Dean’s but The Six, or at least one of them for the 40th anniversary.
