Kate Middleton’s Father’s Day Tribute to Prince William May Have a Strategic Element to It

Kate Middleton just snapped a sweet pic of her family of five, specifically to celebrate Prince William for Father’s Day; and there’s seemingly a little strategy behind it.

On June 16, the @princeandprincessofwales Instagram account released a heartwarming photo of William with their three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. They posted the photo with the caption reading, “We love you, Papa. Happy Father’s Day 💕 G, C & L,” signifying that their three kids were the ones leaving the sweet message.

Along with that, the caption also had “📸 The Princess of Wales, 2024,” showing that Kate is back with her handy-dandy camera, snapping pics of her beloved family!

Now, as you can see in the photo, William wraps his arms around his three children as they all look out at the beach scene in front of them. It’s truly such a sweet moment that shows his bond with his three young children.

But eagle-eyed fans noticed one thing about the pic: nearly every item of clothing they’re wearing is blue. Seriously, there’s so much blue in this photo; and it’s gotten people thinking, “The Wales family sure wears a lot of blue, huh?” And apparently, there’s a reason for that.

In fashion expert Rosie Harte’s book The Royal Wardrobe, she wrote about the color theory behind the Prince and Princess of Wales’ clothing.

“Blue is a more palatable alternative to the colors traditionally associated with royalty, being far less aggressive than red and significantly more conservative than purple,” she said in an excerpt obtained by DailyMail. “It has associations with peace and also modernity, making it a perfect representation of the Waleses’ quest to appeal to both traditional and progressive values in society.”

So it seems everyone may be following this dress code, both during and after royal events.

For those who don’t know, William and Kate have been together on and off since 2003. They married in 2011, and recently celebrated their anniversary with a throwback photo that weirdly enough caused controversy.

Since their nuptials, they have since welcomed three children named George, 10, Charlotte, 9, and Louis, 6.
