She posted on Instagram, sporting her iconic short, dark, wavy hair, dressed in a loose t-shirt and denim jeans, and posed with her guitar in a field for a black and white picture.

One fan commented: “So awesome you’re on here!! I met you in the 90’s when you guys were playing at the Phoenix Amphitheater in Pontiac Michigan! Kim Deal ROCKS”

Whilst another added: “Coolest person in alternative rock music ever.”

“I love you, Kim. Can’t wait to see you live,” penned a third.

And a fourth added: “We have been waiting for u queen.”

Aside from The Breeders, Kim was previously in another band called Pixies.

In 1993, Black Francis, the lead singer of Pixies, publicly announced the band’s disbandment without informing his bandmates.

Kim who was the Bassist and co-songwriter was the last to know.

Francis made the announcement to end the band without consulting the other members, however, the Pixies hadn’t been working together for a year prior to their breakup.

According to his own account, he and Kim “just didn’t get along well” at that point.

The band reunited once again but Kim decided to leave in 2013.

Black Francis and Kim are not feuding but they haven’t spoken since she left the band.
