Emilia Clarke Explains Why She Still Hasn't Watched 'House of the Dragon'

Emilia Clarke can’t watch House of the Dragon.

The 37-year-old Game of Thrones actor, who played Daenerys Targaryen, spoke out about whether she’d seen the HBO prequel series.

“I still can’t,” Emilia admitted of the show, which returns for its second season on Sunday (June 16).

“I just don’t know what it is.”

“I feel so content and happy with what my experience was, that I think watching the new one would just feel so odd, I think,” she continued to say.

“I really do fully support the entire thing and everyone who’s made it, and it’s beautiful how successful it’s been. It’s absolutely amazing.”

A year ago, she also said it would be “too weird” to watch.

House of the Dragon first premiered in August 2022, following the end of Game of Thrones, which ran from 2011 to 2019.

Emilia Clarke also opened up about the fears that were running through her mind while she was suffering from a brain injury during her Game of Thrones days.
