My beauty hack makes eyeliner budge-proof in the summer heat – I was sweating like a pig but it lasted over 10 hours

A MAKEUP fan has shared her application method to make sure her eyeliner looks good all day, despite the weather.

She detailed her eyeliner hack that makes it sweatproof even on hot summer days.

Reddit user JackpotDeluxe shared a “random random liquid eyeliner hack” she discovered.

She explained in the post that it’s perfect for summer to keep the liner in place, especially when you’re sweating.

She first applies eye primer on her top lid.

Then, she sets it with a translucent powder to soak up any lingering oils or moisture.

She uses the Etude House Sebum Soak Powder, which is currently on sale for $6 on the website.

According to the product description, it is meant to quickly absorb oil to create matte skin.

After setting it with powder, she gently does her eyeliner strokes and waits for it to completely dry.

In the fourth and final step, she covers that with the same translucent powder she originally used.

The Reddit user called her technique “totally sweatproof.”

“I was sweating like a pig, but it lasted perfectly even ten-plus hours later,” she said.

Several Redditors appreciated the beauty advice.

“Haha, good tip! I don’t know if this is bad, but I usually set my whole face with translucent powder after primer due to the heat/humidity,” one commented.

The original poster agreed that it was “not a bad idea.”

“I do that once I’m done with everything, but my specific foundation doesn’t lay well over top of powder,” she added.

She learned the hard way and now only puts the powder on afterward.

“Do you also apply setting spray?” another Reddit user asked.

“I didn’t use a setting spray, but you totally could!” she replied.

When it comes to foundation and powder, the Redditor said that “everyone’s skin requires different things” at different times.

“There’s lots of different formulas and when there’s that many formulas there’s going to be ones that don’t go together,” she said.
