Topeka man arrested after Saturday stabbing

TOPEKA (KSNT) - One man is in custody after a stabbing took place Saturday afternoon in Topeka.

On June 15, at approximately 2:37 p.m., officers with the Topeka Police Department (TPD) were dispatched to the 1300 block of SW Western Ave in reference to a stabbing. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering with multiple stab wounds. They were taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries.

According to a press release from the TPD, upon further investigating, 24-year-old, Xavian Locke, of Topeka was arrested and taken to the Shawnee County Department of Corrections for aggravated battery and county warrant.

The victim is in stable condition at this time.
