8 incredible photos showed just how fired up Bryson DeChambeau was for his U.S. Open win
Bryson DeChambeau went into Sunday’s final round of the U.S. Open atop the leaderboard, but his afternoon at Pinehurst was far from easy.
DeChambeau struggled throughout the day off the tee and often found himself having to make difficult shots from sand and wire grass alongside the fairways. At one point, he trailed Rory McIlroy by two strokes in the final stretch. It wasn’t looking great.
But a combination of clutch play and poor putting from McIlroy put DeChambeau in position to win his second U.S. Open title with just a par on 18.
When DeChambeau ultimately saved par on that final hole, the reaction was appropriate for the hectic (yet effective) day.
He was FIRED UP. And the photos from the moment showed just that.
