The moment woman is left locked in her own home after postman makes terrible decision when delivering her parcel

A WOMAN has shared the panic-inducing moment she was locked inside her own home with no way to get out thanks to her postman.

Paige Walsh, from the UK, was at home going about her daily tasks when tragedy struck.

The young woman headed to the front door when she spotted the problem.

In the clip, she showed that the postman had left her package resting just below her front door handle.

While it didn’t seem like a massive problem at first, it soon dawned on Paige and viewers that this meant it was impossible for her to open the door.

The hilarious moment was captured on film, with Paige writing: “When the postman leaves your parcel under your door handle and now you’re on house arrest.”

You could see Paige attempt to move the door handle up and down, but she was unable to leaving her stuck in the house until help came.

“I’ve got Vinted parcels I need to post smh,” she added captioning the post.

After failing to open the door, Paige decided to write a note and put it on her front door window.

The note asked anyone passing by the move the parcel so that she could open the door and have a taste of freedom again.

“It’s okay I’ve dug a tunnel through the ground like a mole,” she joked in the comments letting viewers now she did eventually escape her fate.

Paige clearly saw the humorous side of her situation and people were left in hysterics by the clip.

The video posted to her TikTok account @paigewaalsh went viral with over 2.4 million views and 120k likes.

People took to the comments claiming the attack seemed personal and offered solutions to help Paige get out.

One person wrote: “This was personal.”

Another commented: “Door opens inwards normally???”

Meanwhile a fourth said: “I feel like that postman had it out for you.”

“Request a return and ask them to collect from your house. It’s the best advice you’ve had so far,” claimed a fifth.

Someone else added: “Such a safe place even you can’t get it.”
