Moore Police stop driver going 72 mph in 35 mph zone

The Moore Police Department recently caught a driver going more than double the speed limit.

MOORE, Okla. (KFOR) - The Moore Police Department recently caught a driver going more than double the speed limit.

According to Moore PD, the driver was stopped near SE 19th Street between Tower Drive and Eastern Avenue for going 72 mph in a 35 mph zone.

Officials say the driver was issued a citation.

Moore PD says this kind of speed is dangerous. Please slow down, stay alert, and drive safe.
