Three arrested in Washington Co. for drug possession

FORT EDWARD, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Three people were arrested for alleged drug possession on Thursday. Police said Robert Ross, 52, of Hudson Falls, Malea Groshans, 40, of Hudson Falls, and Kane Frasier, 37, of Fort Ann, were all charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Charges

  • Robert Ross: Third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
  • Malea Groshans: Third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
  • Kane Frasier: Third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and petit larceny

The Washington County Sheriff's Office said the three people were charged after an investigation of Frasier. Police said Fraiser, who accompanied Ross and Groshans, stole property from a Fort Edward business, and further investigation found all had methamphetamine with the intention of selling it.

Police said they recovered the stolen property, and Ross, Groshans, and Frasier were processed and arraigned in Washington County Centralized Arraignment. All were released on bail, and future court appearances were scheduled.
