Annual coffee festival moving to new location in Hilliard

HILLIARD, Ohio (WCMH) - An annual festival featuring central Ohio's local coffee roasters is returning later this year at a new location.

The 9th annual Columbus Coffee Festival is set for Oct. 5-6. The festival was originally held at the Ohio Village at 800 E. 17th Ave., but is moving to the Franklin County Fairgrounds in Hilliard this year.

This is due to a renovation project at Ohio Village called "Campus 2.OH," through the Ohio History Connection. The Ohio Village will close after the state fair ends Aug. 4 and will remain closed until 2026.

Since its launch in 2016 by Columbus Underground, the two-day festival has brought in thousands of attendees to meet with several local coffee shops from central Ohio.

Along with coffee, the festival also offers food trucks, vendors, entertainment and more. Attendees also receive a collectable mug, while coffee sampling is included with the price of admission to the event, according to the event website.

The festival is still in the planning process and is accepting musician applications for the event. The festival noted on its website it has "new things planned this year."
