Her pals “vetted” him, but Saliman nailed the first impression by “showing up to their first date with flowers and her favorite champagne.” Now, Vergara is “so happy” that she gave love a second chance because she may be mulling another walk down the aisle.

The source described him as handsome, independent, smart,” someone who “makes Sofía feel safe.” The surgeon knows the ins and outs of Hollywood, too, since he was former married to Grimm star, Bree Turner, from 2008 until 2018. His entertainment industry-adjacent status is helpful to Vergara, but there’s one quality she loves: “He’s not an actor.” The Griselda actress was very clear during her January appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon that her dating requirements were not negotiable.

“I love it, who doesn’t love New York City?” Vergara explained to the TV host. “It’s the people, it’s the energy. I think that you have more options with men also. I’m single now! So, in New York, there’s not only like actors or directors, I think…I’m going to spend more time in New York,” she quipped. Yes, that definitely was a dig at Manganiello.

Vergara doesn’t seem to be bragging that she’s single anymore either, it appears that Saliman has her heart, and all of her dating prerequisites. “It’s no wonder why she wants to marry him,” gushed the source. Perhaps Vergara will be a 2025 bride if her romantic situation with Saliman stays on the right track.
