I’m a kid millionaire who retired at 11 – now I holiday in £2k-a-night Maldives villas with ‘floating breakfasts’

A CHILD millionaire who retired last year has given an insight into what retirement is like when you make a mint as a child.

Pixie Curtis, 12, shot to fame as a kid through her multiple businesses and social media  presence – all of which were managed by her mum, PR guru Roxy Jacenko.

From fidget spinners to hair scrunchies, Pixie was flogging products that millions of young girls wanted.

Mum Roxy, founder of PR firm Sweaty Betty, even commented that her daughter could “retire at 15” if she wanted to.

But thanks to her mammoth success online and as a CEO, Pixie actually retired last year at 11-years-old.

She cited a “focus on school work” as her main driver to retirement.

But what do you do when you’re a retired millionaire before your teens?

By the looks of things, you head to the Maldives

Pixie has shared snaps from her plush holiday out on the Indian Ocean, complete with floating breakfasts on a private pool.

She stayed in a £1,850-a-night villa at the five star Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi resort.

The Two Queen Bedded Overwater Villa has an infinity pool and over water terrace.

It sleeps two adults and two children below 12 years, meaning Pixie likely stayed with her parents and 10-year-old brother, Hunter.

“Indulge your senses in these spacious villas offering Maldivian beauty inside and out,” a blurb reads.

“Soak up the glorious views through floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding doors from the comfortable bedroom with king-sized signature Waldorf Astoria bed.

“The decadent bathroom boasts double vanities, a soaking tub and indoor and outdoor showers.

“Outside, the wooden deck offers relaxation and fun with direct ocean access, an overwater hammock, large infinity pool, dining gazebo, loungers and shaded daybed for a cosy treat.”

RISE TO FAME

Mum-and-daughter duo Roxy and Pixie launched toy business Pixie’s Fidgets in May 2021 – and in the first 48 hours, they had completely sold out.

The company reportedly turned over £105,000 in its first month.

Hair accessory business Pixie’s Bows is as old as the CEO herself after Roxy established the brand in her daughter’s name when she was just a baby.

But the business schedule caused conflict between the pair, with Roxy allegedly getting annoyed if Pixie didn’t want to create content after school.

The young millionaire divulged that she was “worn out” juggling so many plates and was “happy to focus on her school work and have some time out”.

The business-oriented family, including dad Oliver Curits, upped sticks from their native Sydney, Australia and moved to Singapore last year.

They relocated due to Oliver’s work, with Roxy selling off a number of her businesses in the lead up to the move.
