Scotland vs Switzerland preview

Scotland need a result of some kind when matchday two comes around on Wednesday.

Steve Clarke’s men are desperate to bounce back from a terribly disappointing performance against the hosts on Friday.

There’s no shame in the score line; Germany clearly have a much stronger squad.

But the Scots looked all over the place with big players like Scott McTominay and John McGinn – a pair the Tartan Army expect to shine this summer – completely anonymous.

Switzerland got off to a perfect start over the weekend, winning 3-1 against Hungary.

The Swiss dominated in terms of the ball and in chances, particularly in a strong second half showing.

Any sort of result here would stand them in great stead to progress. And they’ll hope to do so before playing Germany on matchday three.
