Hearing in defamation case against Rahul Gandhi postponed to June 26

The hearing in the defamation case against Rahul Gandhi for allegedly making objectionable remarks against Amit Shah has been rescheduled to June 26 due to the concerned judge being on leave. The case, filed by BJP leader Vijay Mishra, is ongoing in the MP/MLA court. Gandhi had appeared in court on February 20 and was granted bail. The complaint stemmed from Gandhi's comments at a press conference in Bengaluru, where he referred to Shah as an "accused" in a murder case. Shah was later discharged in a fake encounter case from 2005.
