A man could be seen running into the shot before he screamed a foul-mouthed phrase which was picked up by Sam’s microphone.
The man said: “F**k her right in the face p***y.”
Visibly startled by the bloke’s rant, Sam attempted to continue on with his live link but Sky bosses back at base immediately dropped the audio in fear of anymore crude language.
Reacting to the shock scene, Sky News viewers at home flooded Sam with support.
One said: “Brilliant Sam…both your report and the fact you didn’t miss a beat.”
A second wrote: “Sam is a constant professional and a man of honour.”
“How two men could be so different,” said a third.
While a fourth commented: “Is this a Sky News thing? I mean what the actual.”
Sam later reposted a clip of the incident on X, formerly Twitter, with a man shrugging his shoulders emoji.
It comes just days after a Sky News host was forced to apologise after a child dropped the F-bomb live on air.
Sky‘s Scotland Correspondent was left visibly shocked after the child made the epic blunder in the pre-watershed moment.
