“Survase tried her hand at driving while her friend Shivraj Mule was shooting a video. She accidentally pressed the accelerator while the car was in reverse gear. The vehicle slid back, broke a crash barrier and plunged into the valley. It took an hour for rescuers to reach her and the vehicle. She was declared dead on arrival at a nearby hospital,” the Khutabad police station official told news agency PTI.

According to reports, Surwase got into the driver’s seat and began reversing the car. Despite being 50 meters away from the cliff initially, the car’s speed increased as she continued to back up. Mule, recording the event, is heard shouting, “Clutch, clutch, clutch,” in an attempt to warn her. He ran to stop her, but the car fell into the gorge, resulting in Surwase’s death.

The car rolled down the 300-foot high cliff and fell into a gorge. Visuals showed the mangled remains of the vehicle in the gorge.

The Sulibhanjan hills attract many tourists during the rainy season, known for their picturesque scenery.
