Fans were heartbroken in February following Dave’s tragic death aged just 66.

The beloved TV chef had been fighting cancer since 2022, while also keeping his followers updated.

Aside from his work in The Hairy Bikers, Dave also competed in the 2013 series of Strictly Come Dancing, placing 10th place overall.

Four months after Dave’s passing, Si cooked a feast for a large crowd at Birmingham’s NEC during the Good Food Show Summer event.

He was joined on stage by Italian chef Gennaro Contaldo, TV presenter Chris Bavin and recipe book author Chris Baber as he signed copies of the new Hairy Bikers book.

Referencing the book, The Hairy Bikers‘ Ultimate Comfort Food, the star posted on Instagram: “Great to see all ages enjoying the book! #fastandfresh.”

In another charming post shared from the event, Si is holding a mic whilst sharing what presumably is a light-hearted moment.

This picture was captioned: “Thanks for having me @goodfoodshows! Clearly I was unknowingly showing off my air saxophone skills!”

Earlier this month, the presenter joined a memorial motorcycle ride in honour of Dave.

It was a gesture also aimed at gathering funds for the Institute of Cancer Research, London, and children’s charity NSPCC.

In a previous tribute, the heartbroken star shared: “My best friend is on a journey that for now, I can’t follow.

“I will miss him every day and the bond and friendship we shared over half a lifetime.

“I wish you god’s speed brother; you are and will remain a beacon in this world. See you on the other side. Love ya.”

Before coming together on-screen as the Hairy Bikers, Dave and Si had known each other since the 1990s and both had backgrounds in television production.
