Kanchanjunga Express Accident: Railway safety chief launches probe

The Chief Commissioner of Railway Safety-Northeast Frontier Railways, Janak Kumar Garg, has begun an investigation into the Kanchanjunga Express accident, which resulted in 10 deaths. The investigation will begin in the afternoon, and the Station Master of Rangapani will be questioned. The Railways authority has admitted that the automated signalling system was not working, and the investigation will focus on the reasons behind the increased speed.
