Tinker Air Force Base under water boil advisory after water line break

Tinker officials confirm, after a water main break in our Mitchell Heights neighborhood, a boil water advisory has been enacted before consuming.

MIDWEST CITY, Okla. (KFOR) - Tinker officials confirm, after a water main break in our Mitchell Heights neighborhood, a boil water advisory has been enacted before consuming.

This is a precautionary measure for residents in all Tinker AFB housing neighborhoods, according to Tinker Air Force Base.

Base officials say, for the next 48 hours if bottled water is not available, bring water to a full rolling boil for 1 minute, this also includes filtered water (e.g. refrigerator water dispensers and water pitchers). After boiling, allow the water to cool before use.

Tinker Homes is expecting test results today to confirm water safety and will provide an update when available. This boil order does not impact non-housing facilities.
