Gov. Greg Abbott offers $10K for Round Rock shooting suspect information

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Round Rock police are still looking for the suspect connected to the deadly Round Rock Juneteenth festival shooting that left two women dead and injured 14 others.

On Tuesday, Gov. Greg Abbott said the governor's public safety office is offering up to $10,000 leading to the identification and arrest of the suspect or suspects.

People with information can call 1-800-252-TIPS or submit a tip online.

Two other rewards are available for information. The Williamson County Crime Stoppers are offering $5,000 and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is offering $5,000.

Anyone with video or information about the shooting can call Round Rock Police Detective Maio at (512) 341-3135 or email rmaio@roundrocktexas.gov. Police also ask anyone with photo or video evidence to submit it online.

In a press conference Sunday, Round Rock Police Chief Allen Banks said police believe the subject is “armed and dangerous” and not to approach the suspect if seen.

Banks described the suspect as:

  • Black male
  • 5 feet, 7 inches tall
  • Thin build
  • 19-20 years old
  • Hair in short dreads
  • Last seen wearing a white hoodie

“Turn yourself in,” Banks said Sunday. “If you’re man enough to carry a gun and pull the trigger, be man enough to step up. Turn yourself in. Let’s figure out why you chose to take lives and injure people.”
