Shannen Doherty's Contentious Divorce From Kurt Iswarienko Is Adding to Her Cancer Battle Stress

Shannen Doherty’s ongoing divorce battle with her estranged husband, Kurt Iswarienko, appears to be a contentious one. The former couple currently don’t see eye to eye about their finances amid the Beverly Hills 90210 star’s cancer battle. She’s seeking spousal support from her ex while claiming that he’s stonewalling her about his successful photography career income.

“During marriage, particularly in the later years of our relationship, Kurt earned several million dollars per year. He has made a name for himself in his industry,” Doherty’s court filing reads, per In Touch. “Kurt’s average annual earnings for the last three years of marriage was $672,916. My average annual earnings for the last three years of marriage was $259,708.” She’s asking for temporary spousal support in the amount of $15,434 that would be “retroactive to June 1, 2024” as well as $9,100 in legal fees.

Doherty has been “largely unable to work and has no future employment prospects” due to metastatic breast cancer which has spread to her brain. She still earns residual income from her TV and film career with a majority of it coming from her run on Charmed. “I recently learned that Charmed will no longer be streaming on any major streaming platform after June 30, 2024. As a result, my future residual income will dramatically decrease,” she noted in the documents. “My year-to-date income is $25,732.90. I have not worked since 2022.”

She alleged that he is living the high life, “utilizing [their Mooney M-20] airplane, spending thousands of dollars at medical spas, jewelry stores, Gucci, and on flights for his ‘agent,’ while simultaneously claiming that he has insufficient funds with which to support me.” Doherty revealed on her Let’s Be Clear With Shannen Doherty podcast in December 2023 that Iswarienko allegedly had a two-year affair with his talent agent, Collier Grimm. She discovered the truth just days before her scheduled brain surgery.

“At the end of the day, I just felt so incredibly unloved by someone I was with for 14 years, by someone I loved with all my heart,” she shared. “Just to have to go through all of that while trying to figure out if you’re going to get a f***ing divorce and trying to get to the truth of that.” It sounds like it’s been an excruciating journey for Doherty, who is fighting for her life amid her cancer battle.
