Vietnam's banking credit growth below target

HANOI, June 19 (Xinhua) -- The credit growth of the Vietnamese banking system increased 3.79 percent as of June 14 against the end of 2023, Vietnam News Agency reported on Wednesday, citing Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Hong.

The growth was far from the target, which has been set at 5 percent for the first six months of 2024 and 15 percent for the whole year.
