Cabinet approves Rs 2,869 cr for development of Varanasi airport

The Union Cabinet approved a Rs 2,869.65 crore proposal for the expansion of Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport in Varanasi. The proposal includes extending the runway to dimensions 4075m x 45m and constructing a new Apron to park 20 aircraft.
