Council blocks banqueting hall’s ‘urgent’ relocation to former supermarket

An ‘urgent’ move by a Digbeth banqueting hall to move into a former supermarket has been blocked by a council.

Birmingham-based Crown Banqueting planned to relocate into the empty former Lidl supermarket in Old Walsall Road, Hamstead, but the move has been rejected by Sandwell Council’s planners.
