One arrested in connection to shooting in Norman

Norman Police have made an arrest in connection to a shooting on June 10.

NORMAN, Okla. (KFOR) - Norman Police have made an arrest in connection to a shooting on June 10.

According to the Norman Police Department, officers responded to the 2500 block of W. Main Street around 8 p.m.

Investigators discovered that multiple shots were fired during a disturbance. The suspect, identified as 25-year-old Shawn Richmond, left the scene but was found shortly after by police.

NPD says he was arrested after a short foot chase and taken to the Cleveland County Detention Center on complaints of possession of a firearm while intoxicated, public intoxication and obstruction. Officers were also able to find the firearm.

No one was injured during the incident. The investigation is still ongoing.
