Saweetie Goes ‘Balletcore’ in Baby Pink Dolls Kill Heeled Booties at MusiCares’ Humans Of Hip-Hop Panel ‘She’s Iconic: A Salute To Women In Hip-Hop’

Saweetie attended a MusiCares’ Humans Of Hip-Hop panel titled “She’s Iconic: A Salute To Women In Hip-Hop” held at Amazon Studios on Tuesday in Culver City, Calif. The star was joined on the panel by Sierra Lever, MC Lyte, Leslie Segar and Laiya St. Clair.

For her panel appearance, the “Best Friend” singer sported a pair of baby pink Scandalous Seduction heeled boots from Dolls Kill. Originally retailing for $148, the boots feature a ballet slipper-esque silhouette comprised of pink lace-up closures up the front, accompanied by knife-like pointed toes, baby pink satin uppers, bow detailing on the toes and zip-up closures on the sides.

The style coincides with the ever-popular “balletcore” trend that has taken over 2024. The star’s boots were calf-length and featured 2 to 3-inch stiletto heels that offered a subtle boost in height.

Shaudi “Shoddy” Lynn and her then-husband Bobby Farahi co-founded Dolls Kill in 2011. The youthful punk-esque brand features a variety of clothing, accessories and footwear options for those opting for an edgier style of dress. Before dipping her toes into the fashion and footwear industry, Farahi was the founder and CEO of Multivision Inc., a broadcast monitoring service that was sold to Bacons Information back in 2005.

Accompanying her dainty footwear, Saweetie wore a white True Religion tank top and high-waisted light-wash denim. Overtop her simple tank, the rapper donned a hot pink faux-fur jacket.

Saweetie’s personal aesthetic consists of trendy and modern pieces. She has also made a name for herself within the industry by partnering with labels like PrettyLittleThing, Crocs, and Reebok. Along with fashion, she has tapped into the beauty realm by launching her own line of nail polishes with the help of Sinful Colors. For footwear, she tends to gravitate towards creations from Christian Cowan, Dolce & Gabbana, and Giambattista Valli.
